About the Author
James S. Pockross has been a real estate investor for twenty-five years. He has put together numerous deals totaling in the tens of millions of dollars. He owns (along with a few investors) nearly 300 apartment units. He belongs to several organizations and has served as the president of the Lakeview Developers Association and also as an officer of the Lincoln Park Builders Club of Chicago. The City of Aurora selected one of his properties for its annual Excellence in Property Improvement awards.
Mr. Pockross received a Bachelor of Science Degree in psychology from the University of Illinois, where he was awarded a Phi Beta Kappa key. He also earned a Master's in Business Administration Degree with specialization in finance and hospital administration from the University of Chicago, where he graduated with honors.
A hospital administrator by training, Mr. Pockross has worked as a hospital administrator and as a policy analyst for a hospital trade association.
He is licensed to sell life, accident, and health insurance and owns an insurance agency specializing in health insurance for small companies.
Mr. Pockross' interests include basketball, football, baseball (he is a very long suffering Chicago Cubs fan), the stock market, contract bridge, and travel. He has visited all fifty states and many countries.
Mr. Pockross is marriend and claims that the boss of his household is their pet cat, Mimi.
